Songdo 7s is coming back as the big Soccer Championship for schools in Korea! This year, Chadwick International’s exciting soccer event will happen on the CI soccer field. CI is super good at soccer during the Songdo 7s. Another team, SFS, got 3rd place last year and wants to win this year. CI Soccer coaches Coach David and Coach Barry Smith are organizing the event, which will be on November 4th and 5th, 2023.

Coach Barry Smith says that the main goal this year is to have fun and fair soccer matches that everyone can enjoy. There will be 2 teams in the top division and 2 teams in another division.

Our school’s main goal this year is to include everyone in school activities. But it can be tricky because some teams are really skilled, like the CICP soccer levels and the A team. They don’t have extra activities, which might make it harder to include everyone. Also, more schools are joining, which will make it harder for all schools.

The Chadwick International Sustainability Committee asks that everyone at Songdo 7s doesn’t bring plastic water bottles. Instead, please bring your own reusable water bottles. You can find clean water at the fountains near the tennis courts. The people selling drinks won’t have bottled water.

Thank you for helping to use less plastic and water. Coach David Lee, the head of the varsity boys’ soccer team, will lead the event. If you need help, there’s a medical tent under the white tent on the track. The event is open to kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Let’s make Songdo 7s fun and eco-friendly!
